The Journey

JANUARY 2019

In January 2019, after finally healing over 30 years of misdiagnosed and untreated Lyme disease, actress and creator Brooke Procida got in the car with her friend Hannah and hit the highway to drive across America. With a film crew of 2 behind them, Brooke and Hannah drove cross-country with the intention of connecting with healers, doctors and survivors along the way, who had also had the experiencing of "curing" what was previously deemed "incurable". Brooke's goal was to document and share her own story and the stories of others in order to spread the messages of hope, healing and possibility while serving as an active example of setting a destination, creating a new story, getting behind the wheel and taking your life back.

It was a long 8 days. And after several unexpected challenges, detours, breakdowns (and meltdowns) the crew finally drove into the promised land; Los Angeles.

"You have arrived at your destination." said the GPS voice. You have arrived.

And as Brooke took in the silhouette of expansive Santa Monica mountains, stood by the lulling, friendly blue of the Pacific and began to thaw in golden glitter of the California sun...she knew  that her journey had only just begun.
